Biography

Stewart Kristen was born in Los Angeles, California, to John Stewart and Jules Mann-Stewart on April 9th, 1990. Her father is a stage manager and TV producer for different organizations, most notably, Fox. Her mother is Australian by origin and works as a script supervisor in Los Angeles. Kristen has an older brother Cameron.

Acting History

Stewart Kristen has spent some of her years in Colorado when she was very young and later moved back to Los Angeles. She was first noticed while performing in a school Christmas play when she was eight years old. She acted in a non-speaking play in a Disney TV film. Then she acted in The Safety of Objects in the role of Sam Jennings. It was after this that she landed the role of Jody Foster's daughter in Panic Room (2002). She was only 12 years old and already working with one of the biggest names in Hollywood. She was praised for her role and nominated for Young Artist Award.

Since the start of her Hollywood career, Stewart Kristen has been loved by movie-goers and fans for her passionate portrayals of characters in films such as The Twilight Saga. She had never considered acting as she was thinking of becoming a writer or director instead of being the centre of attention. Films started happening, and before she knew it, she became a full-fledged Hollywood star. After the success of Panic Room, she was cast in a thriller Cold Creek Manor, playing the daughter of Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stone.

Awards and Recognition

During this time, Kristen Stewart was homeschooled due to her irregular schedules affecting her grades at school. She then starred in the children's action comedy, Catch That Kid and the role of Lila in Undertow. Her most commended role was in the television film Speak (2004) based on the novel by Laurie Halse Anderson. Kristen was only 13 at the time. She received great admiration for her role of a rape victim. In this film, she had only a few speaking lines, but with a darkly humorous commentary inside her head throughout the film.

Stewart Kristen has been nominated and presented with the BAFTA Rising Star Award. She has starred in many films and received unanimous praise for her performances in films such as Cinema Blend and The Runaways. The New York Times has said "Ms Stewart, watchful and unassuming, gives the movie its spine and soul" about her role in The Runaways.

Stewart Kristen continues to move forward in her career with fresh opportunities coming her way. The actress has three dogs and a cat and loves reading. She aspires to go to college for a degree in literature and hopes to get into writing as her alternative career option. She lives in Woodland Hills in Los Angeles and is currently dating actor Michael Angarano.
